Michael Hutchinson Recipient of the 2010 Brooks Patterson Community Leadership Award

The Cattaraugus County Planning Board, at its July 28th Annual Dinner Meeting, presented the 2010 Brooks Patterson Community Leadership Award to Michael Hutchinson for his outstanding leadership and years of dedicated service in Community Planning and Development for the Village of Gowanda in Cattaraugus County. The meeting was held at the Seneca Allegany Casino Events Center in Salamanca, with 120 people in attendance.

As you look outside your home take notice to all that nature has to offer, the lush lawn, the flowering shrubs, and the tall trees. Now ask yourself, “would the lawn be as nice if I never mowed it?”, and “would the shrubs flower as well if I never pruned them?” The answer would be no. So why is so little thought given to the health and welfare of the trees around us?

To all Randolph residents that have suffered any amount of damage due to the tornado, trees lost, amount of time in clean up, as well as physical damage to your property,no matter how large or small. It is imperative that you get the cost estimates to the municipal building as soon as possible.

Copies of maps indicating the proposed treatment sites, together with this notification, have been placed in the Town Clerk’s office in the Towns of Allegany, Carrollton, Great Valley, Hinsdale, Olean, Portville, Randolph and Salamanca; in the Village Clerk’s office in the Villages of Portville and Randolph; and in the City Clerk’s office in the cities of Olean and Salamanca. These maps will be available for public viewing during the Clerk’s regular business hours and online at: http://rptsweb.cattco.org/Mosquito_Viewer/.
