Tire Collection

On April 25, 2009, from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, there will be a tire collection at the Salamanca Transfer Station, 289 Center Street, Salamanca, NY 14779. View the entire 2009 Tire Collection Schedule.

First four (4) passenger tires are free!

Cattaraugus County will accept a maximum of four (4) car tires per licensed driver at no charge on scheduled collection days.

Additional tires

Any tires in excess of the four-tire limit will be accepted at the regular rates listed below.


Passenger Car (“P” to 20”)

$2.00 each

Light truck (“LT” 15” - 20”)

$4.00 each

Agricultural & Industrial (15” - 19”)

$4.00 each

Large truck (19.5” - 24.5”)

$6.00 each

Oversized (larger than 24.5”)

$2.00 per ply

Large and oversized tires on rims will be accepted, but there will be an additional $10.00 charge per tire for demounting.

In addition to the tire collection schedule listed above, individuals may also dispose of a maximum of two car or light truck tires on regular business days at the transfer stations. However, the appropriate user fee ticket must be used on regular business days to pay for tire disposal costs of $2.00 and $4.00 respectively, for car and light truck tires. All tires disposed of on regular business days must be paid for with user fee tickets; no cash will be accepted.

Dump Tickets are accepted anytime.
