Administration:
David Rivet, DPW Commissioner
Mr. Rivet is the administrative head of the Public Works Department with a responsibility for 404 miles of County roads, 14 thousand tons per year of solid waste disposal, all County buildings and a marina park. Department staff level is currently 173 with an $18 million operating budget and approximately $5 million capital program budget. A $7.3 million Public Works maintenance and office complex has been completed. He is involved with a number of committees relating to planning, personnel and policy matters on a County-wide basis, including working with the County legislative members on their negotiating committee during contract talks with the collective bargaining units.

Duane sends the specifications to companies and after the opening of the bids or proposals, he reviews them with the appropriate department heads and then makes recommendations to the DPW Committee and Legislators.

Mark Burr, P.E. :
Mark is in charge of the Engineering Division and Highway Division for Cattaraugus County. He is primarily in charge of the county's infrastructure improvement program and oversees the departments operation and maintenance programs.

Duties include supervising the maintenance and repairs of a variety of automotive and mechanical equipment for all county departments. Administers fleet management operations. Makes recommendations on vehicle replacement and purchases.

Jeff Contino:
Jeff is responsible for the overall daily operation of the solid waste division of the DPW. This involves the operation of 8 transfer stations located throughout the county, overseeing trucking and disposal operations and special project such as, tank removals, hazardous waste programs and permitting of refuse vehicles. Responsibilities include overseeing the maintenance and repair of county facilities and grounds, west of route 219, and to maintain efficient and economical operation.
Garth Johnston - Maintenance Supervisor
